LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man facing a 50-year prison sentence for selling drugs in Lafayette.

Bryon Simmons Jr., 40, is the subject of this week’s Fugitive Search. Police said he is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Simmons was featured on Fugitive Search six years ago. Officers bought cocaine from a woman at Bridgeway Apartments back in October 2007. Simmons was one of three men inside, along with a baby and a large amount of cocaine.

In 2008, Simmons was found guilty in absentia by a jury for several drug charges, including conspiracy to deal cocaine.

The Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office asked the U.S. Marshal’s Service to help locate Simmons who was later sentenced to 50 years in prison.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Lafayette Police or the anonymous We-Tip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
