US 231 will close Monday north of US 52

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced U.S. 231 will close on or after Monday, July 14 for a new bridge project.

The U.S. 231 Bridge over Little Pine Creek approximately six tenths of a mile north of U.S. 52 will be replaced.

Jack Isom Construction Co. from Reynolds was awarded the $779,915 contract. The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 15 of this year.

The detour follows U.S. 231 North to State Road 18 West to U.S. 52 East, and then back to U.S. 231. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
