Expect traffic delays during Teal Road resurfacing

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – People who drive on Teal Road in Lafayette might want to take a detour for a couple of days.

INDOT crews are resurfacing the road between Ninth and 18th streets. The street is being milled and paved over with fresh blacktop.

The project runs in front of the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds. INDOT spokesperson Debbie Calder said the work should not interfere with the 4-H Fair which starts on Saturday.

“We’ve had some rough areas with the winter everybody went through and the damage it has done to the roadways. So, our crews want to get this done before the fair starts at the end of the week,” Calder said.

Traffic is still allowed on the road, but drivers should expect delays.

Crews are flagging traffic around work areas. Resurfacing work will continue through Wednesday.
