LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Duke Energy will host a job fair in Lafayette on Thursday, July 24.
The goal is to recruit entry-level workers for existing and expected open positions in the Indiana service area. The positions include distribution line workers, transmission line workers, transmission relay workers, and generation station workers.
“Many of our Indiana employees plan to retire in 2014 and 2015, which creates open positions that we need to fill,” said Melody Birmingham-Byrd, Duke Energy senior vice president for Midwest delivery operations. “These are lucrative employment opportunities that can lead to long-term careers. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion helps us attract and retain the talented employees we need to thrive as a company.”
