MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) – On Friday night, no other street in Monticello will be as busy as Main Street. That’s because the Main Street Monticello Tour will fill the street with crowds lured by live music and great food.
Now in its fifth year, the free event raises money for the Monticello Business Alliance. Ingrid Landis and Brandi Page, members of the MBA, appeared on News 18 This Morning.
“It’s a group of Monticello business people joined together as the Monticello Business Alliance…It’s amazing what we do with eight people. The money that we raise through this event takes care of the rest of the event we do throughout the year,” Landis explained about the MBA.
Eight local restaurants will be on hand as food vendors. There will also be four bands playing including something fans of light rock from the early 2000s will really enjoy.
“By luck, we got Kyle Cook. He’s the lead guitarist for Matchbox Twenty. He’s actually from Frankfort, so he has relatives in our community,” Page said.
The Main Street Monticello Tour is free and begins at 5 p.m. The event will run into 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
