PU career services ranked among top 10

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue students hoping to enter the work force can rest assured, they are in good hands. Purdue University ranks third in the country for the best career services center.

The recognition comes from College Magazine, which announced the winners last week. The magazine cites an accessible website and internship opportunities as the reason for the ranking. It also recognized a brand new initiative, “The Career Closet.”

“We invite folks to come by with gently used or new clothes that are really appropriate for an interview that we, in turn, can make available to students who need them when they’re interviewing for positions, especially during the fall semester,” said Tim Luzader, director of Purdue University’s Center for Career Opportunity.

This is not the first time the career services center has received recognition. The Wall Street Journal ranked Purdue’s career center in the top five a few years ago.
