BOSWELL, Ind. (WLFI) – With livestock checked, the Benton County Fair got officially underway Wednesday morning.
On Thursday, the 4-H animal shows will kick off with the rabbit, poultry and horse and pony shows. Thursday night there will be a live Levi Riggs concert at 8 p.m. that is free to the public.
On Friday, the fair will feature BMX bike shows in the evening at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Also on Friday, will be the goat and beef shows. Followed by the sheep and swine shows on Saturday.
Those with the Benton County Fair said there is something for everyone.
“It’s a very community-oriented fair, so usually when you walk around you see all your neighbors, and friends and family members. We have that community environment at our fair,” said 4-H Extension educator Kelsie Muller.
Muller encourages everyone to come out to the Benton County Fair.
“We don’t have a big, large midway or anything like that but it’s still a good, fun event for families and they will find something they will enjoy,” said Muller.
For the kids, there is an FFA petting zoo and a Silly Safari on Saturday. Additionally, there will be a kiddy and adult pedal-tractor pulls.
