LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) – A Logansport man faces up to 11 years in prison for beating another man up with an American flag attached to a wooden post.

Cass County prosecutors say 39-year-old Jeffrey Billeaud knocked Peter Vanderveen unconscious and broke one of his vertabra.

The incident happened in August 2013 at the Tyson Plant in Logansport. Vanderveen was a truck driver and was picking up a load of meat to deliver in another state.

A jury convicted Billeaud Wednesday on three charges including battery with a deadly weapon.
