LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A Lafayette man who bragged to undercover officers that he sold heroin to 50 to 75 people a day is one of several people who were charged with felonies Thursday.

Anthony Owen, 41, and Glen Schmick, 57, each face three charges of dealing drugs.

According to court documents, the men sold cocaine and heroin to an undercover officer earlier this month at several locations, including Columbian Park and Owen’s house on the 1700 block of Vinton Street.

The Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force said it searched 3 homes in connection with its investigation and discovered 16 grams of heroin, 425 grams of synthetic marijuana and $1,300 in cash.

Christopher Vieau was charged Thursday with a felony count of possessing a syringe. In September 2009, Vieau was featured on News 18′s Fugitive Search. He was found a few months later thanks to an anonymous tip and the work of a Lafayette K-9.

Daniel Reid faces a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance.
