Two people to hospital following Sagamore crash

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash on Sagamore Parkway in West Lafayette.

According to the West Lafayette Police Department, a woman driving east on Sagamore Parkway crashed into the back of a box truck sitting at the intersection of Win Hentschel Boulevard.

The woman told police she was blinded by the sun and did not see the truck stopped at a red light.

Both drivers were taken to Franciscan Saint Elizabeth East Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sagamore Parkway east bound was briefly down to one lane as crews cleared the scene. The road has since been reopened.
