State Hospital escapee in Carroll Co. Burrows area

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – The manhunt for the Logansport State Hospital escapee continues Friday morning in Carroll County and law enforcement warns the man is considered violent.

Authorities warn Carroll County residents near the Burrows area to be on the lookout for Christopher Robbins, a 23-year-old male dressed in a white T-shirt and grey pants. He is described as 5-feet 9-inches tall, about 140 pounds, with brown hair, brown beard and a mustache.

Deputies warn residents Robbins is considered violent, so please call 911 immediately if you see him. Earlier Friday morning, police were searching bean and corn fields in Carroll County from a tip that he was spotted in the area.

Deputies told News 18 Thursday, Robbins escaped from Isacc Ray high security unit for the mentally insane in Logansport and was able to somehow make it out of a fence.

Robbins had been charged in Jasper County with attempted residential entry, disorderly conduct and battery in February.
