The evolution of a town’s festivals

Rock the Arts

RENSSLELAER, Ind. (WLFI) – After years of holding the Taste of Rensselaer, the Prairie Arts Council has decided to make a change.

The new Rock the Arts festival at Potawatomi Park is focusing more on art and music, as well as getting more of the locals involved in activities. Activities ranging from tie-dying shirts to looking through a giant handmade kaleidoscope.

Residents of Rensselaer have more opportunities to get their hands dirty at this new festival.

News 18 photojournalist Ryan Delaney went to the festival to see how things were shaping up for its inaugural year. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
