BENTON CO., Ind. (WLFI) – The rain didn’t keep people from heading out to the Benton County Fairgrounds Sunday.

The last day of the Benton County 4-H Fair took place in Boswell.

The 4-H Horse and Pony Fun Show, and the FFA Kiddie and Adult Pedal Tractor Pull were just some of the events taking place.

Sunday was also the day for the top showmen to compete for the Supreme Showmanship award.

4-H Extension educator Kelsie Mueller said it’s an award most competitors hope to win.

“It’s probably the most prestigious award that they can complete in, in their 10 years of showing livestock or horse and pony,” said Mueller. “(For) a lot of the showmen, this is one of their top goals to win this award.”

Below are the five competitors in the Supreme Showmanship competition.

  • Mercedes Brunton
  • Garrett Horwedell
  • Clay Kretzmeier
  • Noelle Gottschalk
  • Kyle Albertson

The winner of the Supreme Showmanship competition was Clay Kretzmeier.
