TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) – A hearing that could shut down a controversial border collie kennel is set for next month.

As News 18 has already reported, Tippecanoe County building officials said that the kennel owned by Thurman “Randy” Sanders is not in compliance with the county’s zoning ordinance.

A motion for summary judgment to close the kennel had been on hold as Sanders applied for a special exception.

Officials say as of Friday, Sanders missed the deadline.

The hearing for the summary judgment is set for Aug. 11 at noon.
