INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Governor Mike Pence spent Monday afternoon with state employees for a “Mile with Mike.”

The walk was part of the state’s “Invest in Your Health” campaign to get Indiana residents outside and to be active.

“My hope is not only are state employees experiencing some renewed health and energy that comes from daily exercise, but also my goal is that the state of Indiana and our state employees be a good role model to businesses large and small across that state of Indiana about just how easy it is to make a commitment to preventative medicine and wellness and to give your employees an opportunity to invest in their own health,” said Pence

Hoosiers are being challenged to take 200,000 steps each month.
