LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Lafayette school administrators continue to gather data about the proposed idea to reopen the Oakland school building as an elementary school.

With that plan in mind, LSC Superintendent Les Huddle said he toured Washington Elementary School Monday to see if the current Oakland High School could move into part of Washington.

He tells News 18 tours of other school buildings are planned in the near future.

He said he hopes to have a list of building needs if Oakland is to become an elementary school for the school board at its next meeting on Aug. 11.
