Husband arrested for 2012 murder of his wife

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police arrested a man for a 2012 murder on Monday.

According to a release from the Indiana State Police, Eugene Bingham Jr., 53, was charged with the murder of his wife Sherese A. Bingham, 51.

Police located Sherese’s body on Dec. 12, 2012 at the White River Park walking path, near the intersection of Limestone and New York Street, in Indianapolis after a cyclist reported finding the body.

Animal control officers had to remove two dogs that appeared to be guarding her body.

Sherese died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police located the hand gun at the scene.
