2-year-old recovering after being found in pool

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A 2-year-old nearly drowned on Tuesday night, now police are investigating the cause.

The Republic reports the 2-year-old Columbus girl was found unresponsive on Tuesday around 8:15 in a pool in the 5100 block of Willa Way.

The girl was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health after CPR was performed by family members, neighbors and emergency medical personal.

According to investigators, it was unclear how long the child was in the pool and how she got in.
