First female firefighter in West Lafayette

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — For the first time in West Lafayette history a female firefighter will be coming on board.

The West Lafayette Board of Works approved the hire of Lauren Giunta along with Jeffery Lyons and Cody Stacy Tuesday morning.

Giunta will be sworn in on Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. at Fire Station No. 1.
