JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A 6-year-old girl from Columbus was taken to an Indianapolis hospital for emergency surgery after being attacked by a pair of Rottweilers in Jennings County.

A spokesperson with Jennings County Animal Control says Joslin Soto suffered wounds to her leg, chest and and head during the attack, which happened in the northwest part of the county Saturday afternoon.

The girl was taken by medical helicopter to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health where she was listed in fair condition Monday, The Republic reports.

The child’s stepfather says she is expected to make a full recovery.
