LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – On Saturday, you can view and even purchase locally made pottery and meet the artists behind them. It’s the seventh annual Summer Potters Market where 14 artists will be featured.
These same artists participated in the YWCA’s Clay Bowl Giving project in April where all of the funds went to the YWCA’s domestic violence program.
Artists Diana May and Scott Frankenberger appeared on News 18 This Morning to discuss what visitors can expect.
“There will be 14 separate booths. [Items range] from $5 to $150 — everything from every price range you can imagine,” May explained.
Frankenberger said the Summer Potters Market is a unique partnership between the YWCA and the Greater Lafayette Clay Guild.
“This is our partnership with them where we get to sell our work to the public, so the public can support us for supporting the YWCA,” he said.
The market will be Saturday, Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the YWCA’s gym. The YWCA is located at 605 N. Sixth St. in downtown Lafayette.
