One dead and one injured in Cass County crash

CASS CO., Ind. (WLFI) – One person is dead following a crash in Cass County Sunday morning.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Keva Mooney, 21, of Logansport, was traveling south on Burlington Avenue as Edward Jones, 61, of Wisconsin, was traveling west on U.S. Highway 24.

Deputies say Jones ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with Mooney at about 5:20 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Mooney was taken to Logansport Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

Both vehicles were declared to be a total loss after the crash.
