LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Uptown meets downtown on Saturday when the Uptown Jazz and Blues Festival will fill downtown Lafayette with the sounds of cool jazz and smoking hot blues.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, and you can expect a more intimate environment compared to Lafayette’s other major summer festivals.
Entertainment director Mark Molter explained, “It’s a more intimate location. There’s really some neat lighting all over the area, and it’s just a really classy event. We really focus on the music side,” finished Molter during an appearance on News 18 This Morning.
Tickets are on sale now. You can also buy them at any Lafayette Bank & Trust. They are $15 in advance and $20 at the door for adults. Kids under 12 are $5, and children in strollers are free.
The Uptown Jazz and Blues Fest is Saturday, Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. to midnight in downtown Lafayette at the corner of Fifth and Main streets.
