Tippecanoe Shrine Club and White Castle to hold annual fundraiser

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The Tippecanoe Shrine Club and a local restaurant will partner up to raise funds for sick children in Indiana.

Wednesday, members of the club and White Castle in Lafayette will raise money at their annual fundraiser. Shrine members said donations will be accepted at the restaurant on State Road 26, near Meijer, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

They said any amount donated makes a big difference for their cause.

“We have 22 hospitals,” Shrine Club member Terry Meadows explained. “It’s based not on your ability to pay. We do everything from cleft palates to orthopedic surgeons. We have some of the best surgeons in the world. We are cutting edge. That’s what you get to be a Shriner. That’s our job.”

Those who donate will receive coupons to be used at any White Castle location.
