JASPER COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A Rensselaer woman is accused of stealing 1,500 Indiana Beach tickets valued at $54,000.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office started an investigation in June when they received a complaint from Brothers Broadcasting in Rensselaer that some promotional tickets were missing. The investigation led detectives to 33-year-old Skipper Austin, a part-time employee of the radio station.

Detectives said Austin admitted to taking the tickets and selling about 250 of them for $5 to $10 each. She also gave a number of others to family and friends.

Austin faces one charge of theft.
