LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Due to weather, milling will continue on Lafayette roads Monday. Drivers should expect traffic tie-ups due to construction work.

Beginning first thing Monday morning, crews will be milling Maple Street from N.18th Street to N. 20th Street. Once complete, crews will then move to Union Street from Erie Street to North 21st Street.

Then work will move down to N. 18th Street from South Street to Elmwood Avenue. Followed by milling on N. 11th Street from South Street to North Street.

The final stretch will be Ferry Street from N. Second Street to Erie Avenue, which will take about two days to mill.

Paving will begin once milling is complete and will be in reverse. Crews will start with Ferry Street, then continue backwards with 11th Street, 18th Street, Union Street, Maple and finally Elmwood Avenue.

All street milling is being completed by Milestone Contractors.
