YWCA offering new programs focused on special needs

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A new program is being offered at the YWCA Greater Lafayette with a focus on children and adults with special needs.

The YWCA program is called SNAP, or Special Needs Aquatics and Activities Program, and it will offer aquatics, gymnastics and dance. Programs are designed to meet the specific needs of your child. Kids will be paired with a “buddy” to help your child’s growth and development in the programs.

SNAP Aquatics will start on Monday, Aug. 25 and is $75 for an 8-week session.

SNAP Gymnastics will start on Saturday, Sept. 6 and is $75 for an 8-week session.

SNAP Dance will start on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and is $100 plus a $25 annual registration fee for a 12-week session. The dance program is being offered to adults and children.
