Beers Across the Wabash bring in 33 breweries to Lafayette

Beers Across the Wabash

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – There’s nothing like a cold beer on a hot day. That was the case for many people at Riehle Plaza Saturday for the third annual Beers Across the Wabash.

Residents were able to taste beers from 33 Indiana microbreweries. The third annual event was put on by the Friends of Downtown.

Money raised from the festival will go towards lighting the Tippecanoe County Courthouse and parts of downtown during the holiday season.

“This is the funny mechanism to get that done to make downtown Lafayette look pretty,” said Friends of Downtown president Steve Bultnick. “Beer on a hot day can work.”

There were also two food vendors and pretzel necklaces available for purchase to help balance out the beer. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
