LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Traffic was backed up on Teal Road Wednesday evening after two cars collided.

Lafayette police said it happened around 6:30 p.m. in front of Marsh Supermarket on Teal Road. One of the drivers, who was pulling out of the supermarket’s parking lot, didn’t see another car heading west on Teal and the two cars crashed.

Officers said both drivers complained of pain and were treated by medics on scene.

Traffic in the westbound lanes was rerouted on S. 26th Street for about 30 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
