WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue police hope that a theft at Ross-Ade doesn’t lead to criminal charges.

Investigators said a pair of Block P flags, one gold and one black, were stolen from the south end zone near the newly constructed beer garden. A field wrap was also stolen.

The flags are 3.5 feet by 2.5 feet and the field wrap is 10 feet by 5 feet.

According to surveillance video, it’s believed to have happened late Saturday night.

Police say the items can be returned no questions asked to the police station by Saturday 8 a.m. Otherwise criminal charges may be pursued. Because the value is more than a $1,000, the charge could be a felony.

Officers said an email was sent out to both Residential Life and Greek Life with the hope that the thieves would get the message and return the property. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
