City projects will affect area roadways

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Summer may be wrapping up, but construction projects are in full swing. Many Lafayette roads will be closed or have restrictions in the coming week.

Thursday and Friday Milestone will be milling Ferry Street from N. Second to Erie Avenue. Friday crews move down to mill Wabash Avenue. Milestone Contractors said they will begin paving Ferry Street on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

City crews restrict Meadow Drive from Sarasota Drive to Audubon Drive to local traffic. A curb is being torn out and replaced Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation will be closing their alley for the month of September as crews work on demolition and reconstruction of the south yard. This work begins Sept. 1 and continues through Sept. 30. They alley closure is located between N. Sixth Street and N. Seventh Street and also between North Street and Brown Street, at the other end of the alley.
