Rockfield man struck by SUV has died

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A Rockfield man who was hit on his moped by an SUV Tuesday morning has passed away. Funeral arrangements have been set for 32-year-old Christopher Wallar.

Waller was involved in a crash in Carroll County that sent him to IU Health Arnett Hospital with critical injuries early Tuesday morning, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said. Waller was pronounced dead at the hospital later that same day.

Deputy Jay Schimmel told News 18 on Tuesday, an SUV struck the rear end of Wallar’s moped which caused him to lost control and he was ejected from the moped.

Another crash occurred on State Road 25 in Carroll County Thursday that caused a woman with serious injuries to be airlifted to Indianapolis.

Funeral arrangements have been set for Wallar. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Gundrum Funeral Home, 1603 E. Broadway, in Logansport. Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, also in the funeral home.
