IU names student found dead at sorority house

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – Indiana University on Friday morning named the student who was found dead at a sorority house Thursday night.

IU officials said 20-year-old Kelly Ann Hackendahl, of Libertyville, Illinois, was found unresponsive after a medical call to the house around 8 p.m. Thursday.

According to Mark Land, IU spokesman, Hackendahl was found dead at the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority house1020 N. Jordan Ave.

Land said foul play is not involved.

Hackendahl was a junior working toward her education degree and was a member of the sorority. Medics attempted to revive her for about an hour, IU officials said.

IU will provide counseling to the sorority and anyone else affected by the death.
