Montgomery County bank robbed at gunpoint

LINDEN, Ind. (WLFI) – A Montgomery County bank was robbed at gunpoint by two men Friday afternoon.

It happened just before 4 p.m. at the Hoosier Heartland State Bank in Linden. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the two men went into the bank with handguns and demanded cash.

The individuals left the bank on foot and were last seen heading north on Meridian Street. Moments later, the two men were seen in a silver passenger car traveling north on U.S. 231.

One of the men involved was described as approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall and 150 pounds wearing denim pants, a dark long sleeve shirt or hoodie, aviator style sunglasses, a skull cap and gloves. The other man was described as approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall and 180 pounds wearing light colored athletic pants and light colored short sleeve shirt.
