LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) —  Join the community downtown for the final Mosey Down Main Street and bring a canned good to help fight hunger in Lafayette.

To honor September as Hunger Action Month, Mosey organizers are teaming up with Food Finders Food Bank for the final Mosey of the year with a theme of “Mosey for Hunger.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable item to donate, so that the food collected can be made available to those in our community who are food insecure. Organizers said food collection bins will be set up at the corner of N. Seventh and Main streets to collect food items to help Food Finders going into the fall and winter seasons.

The final Mosey Down Main Street of the year takes place on Saturday along Main Street between Sixth and 11th streets. Come on out to downtown Lafayette from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., free of charge, and “Mosey for Hunger.”
