LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Two masked men attempted to force their way into a Lafayette home Monday morning.

Police received a call about 7:15 a.m. from a home in the 2300 block of N. 25th Street.

The caller said two men, one armed with a baseball bat and the other with an airsoft gun, tried to make their way through the front door. The caller was able to scare the men away from the front door, but then the men ran to the back of the house where they then stole a parked moped.

Police say the men were both around 6-feet or taller. No other physical description is available at this time.
