LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Drivers may want to steer clear of a Lafayette road in October.

City Engineer Jenny Leshney said crews will be repaving 11th Street from Kossuth Street to Central Street. She said they’ll also be replacing curbs and handicap ramps.

The biggest thing drivers will notice is parking restrictions.

“People will be asked to park on either one side or the other during construction,” Leshney said. “There may be some closures or restrictions of the parking throughout the projects, so contractors can get the work done.”

Work is scheduled to begin the first week of October. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
