LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – CityBus and Food Finders got together Thursday to raise food donations.
One CityBus was parked by Riehle Plaza Thursday to collect food for the Stuff the Bus campaign. This was the second year for the event.
Last year, the event brought in more than 600 pounds of food. Food Finders Executive Director Katy Bunder said the drive helps kick off their hunger action month.
“This is one of our main Hunger Action Month activities. We’re really happy to be partnering with CityBus to do this, drawing attention to our cause — hunger relief — and also collecting food that we’ll use all winter,” said Bunder.
If you’re interesting in donating, but are unable to make it out to the plaza Food Finders will have several other food drives this month.
