WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Indiana State Police have reopened the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 after crews cleaned up following a semi fire.

The fire began around 10:30 p.m. Monday, a few miles away from the State Road 18 Exit. The fire has since been put out.

Later around 5 a.m. Tuesday, the interstate was shut down for around two hours while the semi was removed.

At this time, investigators believe the fire may have started in the brakes. The driver was able to unhook from the trailer before fire spread to the cab.

There were no injuries.
