LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe Arts Federation continues its effort to improve the quality of life throughout Tippecanoe County.
In 2008, a cultural plan was developed to help sustain the arts and cultural sector. Now, TAF wants to make sure that plan is carried out.
A consultant hosted a session Tuesday night to gather ideas and opinions of those living in the community. They discussed ways to keep people around and what the area could look like in the future.
Tetia Lee, TAF’s executive director, said it helps to get input from people who have lived in the area for years, as well as people who have recently moved here.
“We’re representing those things,” Lee said. “We’re also mindful of the things multiple groups of individuals are keeping in mind in terms of whether or not they will stay here and be a part of our community or if they’ll leave.”
Lee said findings from these sessions, as well as a survey, should be back by early October. She said the next plan of action will then be decided.
