TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Six Ukrainian young professionals are making several stops in Tippecanoe County this week.
The Lafayette Rotary Club is hosting the group.
Tuesday morning they toured Cornerstone Autism Center and learned different techniques and ways to treat children on the autism spectrum. Club members said it’s great to host people from other countries and collaborate ideas.
“The first thing they noticed was that they don’t have the same facilities in Ukraine that we have here,” said Jack Kelley, with Lafayette Rotary Club. “So then they go back and say, ‘How do we get our government to produce what they need?'”
The group will be touring several other places this week including the Wabash Center and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.
