LaGrange, Ind. (WLFI) — A statewide Silver Alert has been canceled for a 76-year-old man who was missing from northern Indiana.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office said as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Gerald Johnson of LaGrange, Indiana, which is about 50 miles east of South Bend, was located. They said he was found safe.

The sheriff’s office had issued an alert earlier Wednesday morning after Johnson had disappeared. Authorities believed he may have been disoriented and required medical assistance. He was only wearing underwear and shoes or could have been nude, authorities said.

One hour after the alert was issued, the Silver Alert was canceled. Police said Johnson was located in Steuben County.

No further details were released.
