LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Greater Lafayette will hold its Light the Night walk Thursday night at Columbian Park.

It’s an annual event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The walk raises money for research to find cures for different types of blood cancer.

Red lanterns will be held by supporters, white by survivors and gold in memory of those who have died.

News 18’s own Brittany Tyner will emcee the event.

It begins at 7 p.m. at Columbian Park’s Rush Pavillion.
