LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — It’s a ball you don’t even have to dress up for.

The Arc of Tippecanoe County’s Adult Recreation Program hosted a Blue Jean Ball at Jenk’s Rest in Columbian Park Friday evening.

People enjoyed a DJ, line dancing, food and drinks.

Proceeds from the event support The Arc of Tippecanoe County and the 2017 United Way of Greater Lafayette campaign.

Executive Director Milissa O’Hern said this is the first year holding the Blue Jean Ball, and she’s thankful for everyone’s help.

“We’ve had Arc members who have done all of the decorations here, so I love the fact that everyone has pitched in to do this event and make it a success,” said O’Hern.

Board of Directors member Stephanie Weatherford added her favorite part is getting the group’s name out so people can know where to go if they need special assistance.
