UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled after the mother and child were both located safely, according to the Hammond Police Department.
HAMMOND, Ind. (WLFI) – The Hammond Police Department is investigating the possible abduction of a child and mother.
Yolanda Walker and her son Raphael Bevineau were last seen at 7 p.m. CDT Sunday, Oct. 2, in Hammond, Indiana and are believed to be in extreme danger.
Raphael Bevineau is a 2-month-old male, 1 feet 8 inches tall, with brown wavy hair, green eyes and a dimple in his chin. The child’s clothing is unknown.
Yolanda Walker is a 20-year-old female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair, hazel eyes and has a birthmark under one eye. Walker was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and Grinch pajama pants.
Hammond is 23 miles south of Chicago, Illinois.
The Hammond Police Department believes the duo was abducted by the child’s non-custodial father Ralph Bevineau. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a gold Chevy Trailblazer or a similar type of SUV. The license plate number is unknown.
