LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Greater Lafayette area came together Wednesday night to host an annual college fair.
Every year, five high schools introduce students to neighboring universities. This year, the college fair was held at Jeff High School.
Students and their families had the opportunity to get a look at universities around Indiana. The students got to make future connections while the parents got to learn about financial aid.
Recruiters said the fair is a great place to connect without having to go on a college visit.
“It’s a great way to get relevant information out to families,” said David Reseigh, assistant director of financial aid at Purdue University. “I’m here from financial aid, so we can talk about changes to the FAFSA process and new deadlines and those kind of things. Yeah, it’s a great way to talk to families.”
Recruiters said it’s never too early to start thinking about applying to college and for financial aid.
