LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Some good news for drivers on the south side of Lafayette as a roadway reopens.

South 18th Street between Veterans Memorial Parkway and County Road 430 South is back open after being closed for nearly six months.

The project made improvements to traffic flow, sidewalks and underground sewer work. A walking trail that includes a pedestrian bridge was also added.

City engineers ask drivers to continue to use caution in that area as crews add finishing touches to the project.
