REYNOLDS, Ind. (WLFI) – Officials in the town of Reynolds have decided to make some service fee adjustments.
The town board decided to cut costs for the installation of water and sewage hookups in homes and other buildings. Originally, the new installations had a price tag of about $4,000.
Town Board member Rick Buschman said he felt the fees were too expensive and brought it to the attention of the other board members. He said they decided the fees were too high and they voted unanimously to drop the fee to $2,000.
“We want the sewage and water rate, you know, we want them to use it,” Buschman said. “We don’t want anybody not hooking up because it’s too high.”
Buschman said the fee adjustment will go into effect immediately.
