TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — On Saturday, local businesses and organizations came together in Lafayette to better the community.

The event was hosted by Convoy of Hope and was aimed at helping those in need.

Many different organizations such as The National Breast Cancer Foundation and Plum Organics participated.

Those who came were offered groceries, health services, haircuts and much more – all free of charge.

Samantha Stewart brought her family to the event, and her son Cash received his first haircut.

“I like how Lafayette does a lot of community outreach to a lot of people, a lot of free services. It’s really good because I’m not from really around here,” said Stewart. “I’m from northern Indiana, and they don’t do that stuff … up there.”

Convoy of Hope hopes to provide community events that make a lasting impact on the Greater Lafayette area.
