TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Visitors to the Wea Creek Orchard found themselves taking part in a “Boo-tiful” event, all for a good cause Sunday.

The ninth annual Boo Bash and Family Movie was held at the orchard Sunday afternoon.

Guests were invited to wear costumes and take part in different activities all helping raise funds for the Tippecanoe County Public Schools Foundation.

Event organizers said it’s always fun to see the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes.

They said fun events like this that make raising money a little bit easier.

“This is all funding the Public Schools Foundation,” marketing director of the Tippecanoe Public Schools Foundation Andrea Kuipers said. “The Public Schools Foundation has been in existence for over 40 years, and we fund teacher grants in the public schools. That’s what this money goes for, all of it.”

Kuipers added it’s the teachers’ ideas that communicate learning to the students in the classroom.

Student volunteers from area high schools and a local middle school helped with Sunday’s Boo Bash.
